carnet de route

A Berlin-based start-up has announced that within 5 years it will be able to produce volumes of fruit and vegetables on 1 m3 that were previously produced on the equivalent of a soccer field (4,000 m2 for the smaller ones).

Could retailers decarbonize their fruit and vegetable departments in the short term? What shifts and changes should the sectors concerned prepare for? In a Latin American market, at the height of the pandemic, one of our clients managed to rebuild its entire 2020 retail revenue on the web, while all of its shops were forced to remain closed for nearly 8 months in 2020.

While continuing its very strong growth, a Scandinavian food brand has reduced its advertising investments by 60% in favor of “traditional” media, while reinforcing the animation of its online channels and its connected community at lower costs.

  • What shift, rupture, transformation should organizations, brands and ourselves prepare for?

  • On what level of the Richter scale do you expect these structuring changes in your business models and organizations to occur?

  • Where should you place the cursor of the objectives to be reached for your teams: adaptation, transformation, revolution, survival? What if one of the common points, one of the cornerstones of these projects was commitment?

Aurianne Muller comes back to it for you in this issue.

Our guests, Jean-Luc Valleix, Director of Nespresso Switzerland, and Claire Cloâtre-Vinzant, Director of Marketing and Communication, passionately describe their desire to amplify the local roots of this global luxury brand and share their countless projects for one of its flagship markets, where they intend to continue to strongly increase the market share of “Swiss Made” capsules.

Finally, our teams have prepared several feedbacks and shared many concrete insights on projects with high stakes in operational performance and CSR for the brands, projects on which significant financial gains have been obtained by pursuing all these ambitions.

At a time when the pandemic is once again disrupting our daily lives, the entire harpagon team joins me in wishing you much joy, health and good food in 2022.

Enjoy your reading and see you soon!
